We are pleased to share important updates regarding the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) starting July. The government has made changes to make child care more affordable and accessible. Most families will receive a higher subsidy, easing the financial burden. Additionally, some previously ineligible families can now access the CCS.

If you are currently receiving CCS, there is no need for you to take any action to receive the increased amount. The changes to your CCS will be applied automatically, ensuring you benefit from the higher subsidy.

Founder and owner of Kool Beanz Academy, Bruce Coulson, has been in the childcare industry for over 16 years. With a solid reputation as a high quality, safe, professional and child-centred provider, he is taking this to a new level with the development of Kool Beanz Academy Carrara, located at The SUNS Heritage Bank Stadium on the Gold Coast.

His experience in the industry has motivated him to develop a centre like no other, a unique initiative with the inclusion of children with additional needs. The centre is designed for 185 enrolments with up to 22 of these spaces specifically for children requiring extra support. Autism QLD will be housed on site to assist with these children’s needs.

Our13,000sqm site features 12 classrooms and ancillary facilities as well as an art room, library, lego room and STEM room. The inclusive outdoor environment focuses on nature with a swing forest, fairies creek, climbers net and Old MacDonald’s Farm, an ever-changing and free-flowing environment that stimulates all the senses.

We are dedicated to fostering children to reach their full potential by providing opportunities, care and understanding.  Our program has been developed to support all children to ensure they are prepared and have the tools they need to take on the world and support the transition to school.  We endeavour to continuously learn and grow, working with our community to build strong relationships and foundations to support our children, families and staff.  Our centre provides an opportunity for families to access evidence-informed early childhood assessment and therapy services, the opportunity for your child to receive additional support through higher child-to-staff ratios and our educators are specifically trained with the skills to help educate children with diverse needs in an inclusive environment.  We believe that knowledge is power and together we can unite and create a one-of-a-kind inclusive centre that celebrates and acknowledges all children.

We have partnered with Autism Queensland to deliver an inclusive early childhood education and care experience for our children and families.  Autism Queensland have 55 years of experience and insight in working alongside children on the autism spectrum and their families.  Their Gold Coast office will be located on site giving our little beanz the support services they need.

Autism Queensland is a registered provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  EarlyAQtion staff based at the centre will be available to support enrolled children with NDIS funding to achieve their NDIS goals.  Families may also choose to self fund.
