More Time for Your Child: Understanding the 3 Day Guarantee (CCS 2026)
15 May 2026
Stay informed about the latest CCS changes and discover how they could make quality childcare more affordable for your family.
A Simpler Way to Access Early Learning, More Support for Families
From January 2026, the Australian Government is introducing the 3 Day Guarantee under the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This change ensures eligible families receive at least 72 hours of subsidised early learning per fortnight, without needing to meet work, study, or volunteering requirements.
At Kool Beanz, we know how important consistency is in the early years and this update helps more children access regular, high-quality early learning.

What’s Changing for Families?
If you receive CCS, you will now have access to a minimum of three subsidised days of care per week on average.
In practical terms, this means:
- Easier access to additional care days
- Less pressure around work or study requirements
- More consistent routines for children
- Greater flexibility for busy family life
Why an Extra Day Matters
An extra day each week gives children more time to settle, connect, and grow. With consistent attendance, children often become more confident in routines, build stronger friendships, and feel more secure in their learning environment.
At Kool Beanz, we see how this steady rhythm supports emotional wellbeing, independence, and a strong start to school.

More Flexibility for Everyday Life
The 3 Day Guarantee is designed to better support modern family life. Whether work hours change, study is part-time, or schedules shift week to week, families have more freedom to adjust care while still accessing subsidy support.
Thinking About an Extra Day?
If your child currently attends one or two days, you may now be able to increase their attendance, often within your existing subsidy.
